Loro Parque has been the setting for a German TV series that will be released this month in Germany

The theme park and zoo “Loro Parque” located in Tenerife Island has become the setting for a 40-episode German TV series that deals with the life of the animals which live in this park and the everyday life in the most renowned environmental park in Spain.

The series was shot between January and June 2010, and it has been broadcasted everyday since the 7th of September in prime time at the main Germen TV channel, ARD.

This audiovisual project has as main characters the animals and the everyday life in the zoo. The biologists, veterinarians and zookeepers also take part in this series, showing the beauty and majesty of each species as well as the different activities carried out in the zoo. The animals’ life at the park is combined with beautiful views of the island, highlighting its ecosystems and natural parks, as well as the exceptional weather it has.

The series consist on 40 one-hour episodes that where shot in high definition and using state-of-the-art technology to be a success among the audience and to provide a fantastic view of Tenerife. For the shooting of this series a complete production and edition crew traveled to the island to work for six months in the production and edition of the series directly in Tenerife, which is something that hasn’t been made before.
